nom nom.....

Hong Kong is bursting with people from every country on earth. So when my neighbor from Singapore invited me over for afternoon tea I had no idea it would end with her showing me how to make traditional asian sweet potato soup. It is traditionally prescribed for postpartum women to clear all the toxins from the body. {apparently, it's also traditional to stay in the house and not bathe for one month after birth} But it's also delicious and only contains only three ingredients; sweet potato, fresh ginger and rock sugar. 

It's incredibly simple as well. Just wash, chop and boil the sweet potato with the sugar and ginger.


it's delicious. try it. {no need to be postpartum}
